Wedding-Related Questions

Can I bring a date?

Due to capacity concerns, invitations are limited only to those addressed on the formal invitation.

Are children welcome?

We adore your little ones, and welcome them to our wedding! However, if you’d like to have the night to yourselves, we’re happy to help you find a suitable childcare service in the area.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

We kindly ask that there are no phones & cameras during our wedding ceremony. You’re welcome to take photos after the ceremony, like at cocktail hour and the reception though!

What time should I arrive at the wedding venue?

Please begin to arrive at the venue for a light refreshment from 5:15 PM onwards, ready for the ceremony to begin swiftly at 6 PM.

Will the ceremony be outside?

Yes, the ceremony will take place outside at Villa Cimbrone’s gardens.

Will there be any pre- or post-wedding events?

Yes! We’ll be hosting a welcome dinner for all guests on June 24, 2025 at Trattoria da Lorenzo and we encourage you to join us. As a thank you to our guests for traveling to attend our wedding celebrations, we will also be hosting a farewell boat day the day after so our guests can explore the Amalfi Coast from the water and for everyone to say their goodbyes.

Do I have to attend all the wedding events?

No, you do not have to. We kindly ask that you outline in your RSVP which events you’re interested in going to.

What is the dress code for the events?

Please visit our Attire page to get a detailed information on the dress code for all our wedding events. We also included inspiration photos to help guide/inspire you.

What kind of footwear should I bring?

We do not recommend stilettos! If you are wearing heels to the wedding, it's best to bring something more comfortable or wider heels/wedges for walking around Ravello. The cobbled streets are charming, but not the kindest on your heels. We will have a shoe check-in area at the venue for the wedding day.

Will transport be provided to and from the events?

We are providing a shuttle bus to take our guests from Ravello to the other event locations. We will confirm the pick-up location and time closer to the wedding week. Keep an eye on our website for more details.

Is there parking at the venue?

No. Ravello is mostly a pedestrian only town. The closest parking facilities are by the town square, which is a 15-20 minute walk from Villa Cimbrone.

What if I have food allergies or intolerance?

Everyone will be catered for. If you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions, please outline this on your RSVP. Our caterers will accommodate special requests and ensure that everyone enjoys a delicious meal.

Do you have a gift registry?

As cliche as it sounds your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all, but if you do feel inclined to give us a wedding gift please visit our Registry page to give you some guidance.

Can I bring gifts?

We greatly appreciate your love and support! However, your presence at our wedding is the best gift we could ask for! If you insist in giving us something physical, a wedding card with a message or advice for us is more than enough.

How should I RSVP?

Please RSVP by March 25, 2025 via our wedding website. This will help us ensure that everything is prepared for your arrival and that we can plan accordingly.

What should I bring to the wedding?

Aside from your wedding attire, make sure to pack sunscreen, comfortable shoes for walking and comfortable flowy outfits that will be comfortable in the heat. If you plan on taking part in any outdoor activities like our boat day, bring swimwear and a hat for protection from the sun.

What should I bring on the boat for the boat day?

We recommend bringing sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, swimwear, a towel, and comfortable shoes. If you plan on swimming or sunbathing, don’t forget to pack your swimsuit and a change of clothes.

Yes, swimming will be available at designated stops along the coast. We encourage guests to enjoy the crystal-clear waters and take a dip in some of the most beautiful spots.

How do I get to the departure point for the boat?

We will be providing transportation for all our guests between Ravello and Amalfi port. Check back on our website closer to the wedding date for pick-up point and times.

What if I get seasick?

We will be providing seasickness medication for any guests who may need it. We’ll ensure it’s available and distributed as requested. You are also welcome to bring your own medication, if you prefer.

Travel-Related Questions

How do I get to the Amalfi Coast?

The nearest international airports are Naples International Airport (NAP) and Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO). From there, you can take a train, private shuttle, or drive to the Amalfi Coast, which is about a 1.5 to 2-hour journey from Naples and around 3 hours from Rome.

Do I need a passport to travel to Italy?

Yes, if you’re traveling from outside of the European Union, you will need a valid passport to enter Italy. Make sure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your planned return date. Depending on your nationality, you may also need a visa to enter Italy.

What are the best options for getting around the Amalfi Coast?

The Amalfi Coast is known for its narrow, winding roads. It’s best to use local transportation options like buses, private transfers, or taxis. Many guests also opt to rent a scooter or take a boat trip to explore the coast.

Do I need to rent a car?

We do not recommend renting a car if you’re staying in one of the towns along the Amalfi Coast due to narrow streets and limited+costly parking. Local transportation options such as buses, ferries, and taxis are available and convenient for getting around.

For those planning to visit nearby cities like Pompeii or Naples, we suggest booking a private tour or transport.

We need a transfer from the airport to our accommodation. Who do we contact for this?

Our planners work with a local company to arrange car transfers for our wedding guests. To learn more and book your car transfer, please fill out our Car Transfer Google Form.

Is getting the car transfer the only way to get to Ravello?

It certainly is not. There are many ways to get to Ravello from Naples, however, a car transfer is the most convenient one. You are able to take a taxi from Naples Airport or Train Station, however, rates do vary.

Are there any local hotels or accommodations nearby?

Yes! There are several hotels and rental options in Ravello that offer stunning views and easy access to the wedding venue. We have provided a list of recommended hotels and accommodations in our Travel page. Please feel free to book early, as rooms tend to fill up fast during wedding season. Alternatively, some of our guests have found accommodations via Expedia, Booking.com and Airbnb.

Is there anything I should know about the local culture and customs?

The Amalfi Coast is known for its hospitality, but it’s important to respect the local culture. Please dress modestly when visiting religious sites and be mindful of local customs. Italians are known for their appreciation of food, family, and style, so embrace the relaxed yet elegant atmosphere.

What should I do in my free time?

There’s so much to explore on the Amalfi Coast! From scenic hikes, to boat rides along the coast, to exploring the charming villages of Positano, Ravello, and Sorrento, you’ll never run out of things to do. We’ll share a list of must-see spots and local attractions in our wedding packet.

What is the weather like in the Amalfi Coast?

The weather is typically mild and Mediterranean. Summers (June to August) can be hot, with temperatures often reaching 80-90°F (27-32°C). Be sure to check the forecast before traveling, and pack accordingly.

Should I bring cash or credit cards?

While credit cards are widely accepted, it’s always a good idea to carry some cash, especially in smaller towns or for tips. Euros (€) are the official currency in Italy. You can find ATMs in major towns along the Amalfi Coast if you need to withdraw cash.

Do I need to tip?

Tipping is not expected in Italy, although of course always appreciated.
